Despite having two very good teams on the field the last two seasons, whenever Sigourney-Keota has popped up on the schedule for the Pella Christian football team, the two schools seem to step it up a bit. The Eagles have been on the losing end of the last two games, falling last year on the road, 29 – 27, and in 2013 by a score of 40 – 21. PC’s last win against the Savage Cobras came in 2012, when they won 33 – 13. After their 62 – 21 loss to Albia six days ago, Coach Rich Kacmarynski says his team this week will need to refocus and get ready for another battle. Sigourney-Keota’s win over Pekin was a 44 – 12 final decision, and all of their touchdowns this year have come on the ground, as one would expect with the single wing offense that they run. Tomorrow night’s contest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off.
