Pella Christian heads northwest tonight for a big showdown with a ranked Norwalk squad on the volleyball courts.

The Warriors are 19 – 8, but their last five losses have come to Class 5A opponents. Norwalk has defeated Newton and Dallas Center – Grimes in their only two league matches thus far. PC is at 1 – 1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and since their 5 – 0 record in the North Mahaska tournament two weekends ago, they’ve went 2 – 3, splitting four games in their home tournament a few days ago, and dropping a match to Pella last Tuesday. Coach Cindy Nikkel says her team has come a long way from their 1 – 7 start, and a lot of that can be attributed to the play and leadership of her senior captains, and from other key contributors. Tonight’s varsity game in Norwalk is scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m.
