Really running through the gauntlet at the beginning of their 2015 season, the Pella Christian volleyball team’s road does not get any smoother as Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont comes to town for a varsity match tonight. The Eagles have had to trudge through Marshalltown, Waukee, Carroll, Lewis Central, and Ames thus far, winning just two sets along the way. Seniors Andrea Horstman and Sydney Faber both say that early on, communication has improved since last season. The Rockets have had a polar opposite beginning to their season, as they’ve won all ten of their matches, dropping just one set along the way to West Branch, and are currently ranked fifth in the state in Class 2A. The JV and ninth grade teams will play at 5:30 p.m., with the varsity showcase to begin at 7:15 p.m.
