Melcher-Dallas football grabbed their first win of the year with a 32 – 28 narrow victory over the Harmony Rockets. With about six minutes left, the Rockets had a 22 – 20 lead, before the Saints punched in a score to take a four-point advantage. The back-and-forth continued when Harmony went back on top, 28 – 26. The Saints had the final say, getting the final score in the last minute of the contest. Twin Cedars forced Seymour-Moulton-Udell to hang up a bagel, in a 40 – 0 shutout. The Saints are now 1 – 4 this season, while the Sabers are 3 – 1. Melcher-Dallas plays at home again next week against Seymour, and the Sabers stay in Bussey to play the Wayne Falcons.
