For the first time this football season, the Pella Christian Eagles tasted defeat, and the flavor was not all that appetizing. Class 2A, No. 1-ranked Albia grounded out a 62 – 21 victory over the Eagles on Friday night, in a game that was live on 92.1 KRLS. The Blue Demons’ bell cow back, Carter Isley, finished the game with 258 yards on 22 carries to accompany four rushing touchdowns. Albia wound up with a total of 541 yards on the ground. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says his team just got out-muscled on the gridiron last night. Levi Jungling was one of the standouts for PC, catching seven passes for 61 yards. The Eagles drop to 2 – 1 on the year, and they’ll try to pick themselves back up when they begin district play next Friday at home against Sigourney-Keota.
