Knoxville Girls placed sixth and the boys eighth at the Pella Cross Country Meet held at Central College Saturday. Racing in less than ideal hot and humid conditions freshmen Emery Neer led the Panther attack across the finish line in a time of 24:42 good enough for 34th place. On the boys side, Cade McNeill led the Panther runners with a 32nd place finish with a time of 19:19. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was happy with how the runners persevered through the conditions.
