Mayor Brian Hatch

Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch has filed to run for a second term.

Hatch, who works for the Marion County Engineer’s Office, won election in 2013 over former Mayor Don Zoutte. He tells KNIA/KRLS News he’s seeking re-election because he loves the community and takes great pride in being Knoxville’s mayor.

Candidates have until Thursday, September 17th, to file with the Marion County Auditor’s Office. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd. A statement by Hatch is available below:

After a very educational and enjoyable first term as mayor, I have decided to run for re-election this fall. Two years have passed by so quickly, and I am continuing to gain confidence and knowledge in this position. I love the community we live in, and take great pride in representing Knoxville as mayor. I hope to have the opportunity to continue to serve as mayor, displaying a responsible and professional attitude for the City of Knoxville.

Thank you,
Mayor Brian Hatch
