After a frustrating start to the season, the Knoxville Volleyball squad notched its first win of the season last night with a five-set victory over Albia 25/17, 23/25, 19/25, 25/20, and 15/13. Haley DeMoss led the Panthers with 18 kills she also had 15 assists and collected 23 digs. Emily Wallace had 26 digs while Jenna Kauzlarich dealt out 11 assists and Carrie Chambers had three blocks. Coach Chantell Downing told KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls fought all night long to get the win. She adds while it was good to get a win, she says there are still areas that need work. Knoxville is now 1-16 on the season and 1-2 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers are off until Saturday when they head to the Pella Christian Invitational.
