For the second straight year, the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals came down to the closing laps with a question of who would take the win. Saturday night, Jared Landers grabbed the lead from Josh Richards with eight laps to go and held on for a win of just over a tenth of a second over Richards to win his first Late Model Nationals. The early leader was Johnathan Davenport but his engine gave out on lap 43 after leading for 38 laps. Jimmy Owens claimed third place with Mike Marlar in fourth and Darrell Lanigan coming home in fifth place.
