Knoxville Superintendent Cassi Murra hopes citizens will vote to reapprove the instructional support levy during the school board elections on Tuesday.
The levy needs to be renewed by the voters every ten years. Murra says no changes are being made to the levy. She says the revenue stream helps fund programs, such as tutoring, summer school, and online learning opportunities for students, that couldn’t be done on state funding alone.
Murra says the instructional support levy is critical to how the school district does business.
