The Pella High Football team continued their early season roll with their 49-6 victory over Oskaloosa last night on a game heard live on KRLS2. The No. 1 Little Dutch opened the scoring early and often, opening a 42-0 at half. Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says they were able to continue their improvement in building a balanced offense. “When Austin (Schulte) went down, we talked about throwing the ball and spreading it out a bit,” McKinstrey says. “We feel like we’ve got some really good receivers that are tall and can make plays.” Noah Clayberg had 203 yards in the air with three touchdowns, and two scores on the ground. Will Warner had three catches for 58 yards and 2 TDs and Chase Van Sant had three catches, 103 yards and a big 83-yard scamper for six points. Pella High moves to 3-0 and extends their winning streak to 17. They are set to travel to Norwalk to continue district play next week.
