The No. 1 Pella High football team got the best of their rivals Knoxville with their 42-11 victory at Ken Locke Stadium on a game heard live on both KNIA and KRLS. Knoxville got the scoring starting with their opening drive, knocking in a 32-year field goal by Caleb Light, but from there, it was all Little Dutch. Pella scored on all five offensive drives in the first half and stifled the Knoxville rushing attack from there. Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says he was impressed with the strides the aerial attack has made. Noah Clayberg tossed three touchdowns to Will Warner and ran for two of his own. Knoxville Coach Eric Kellar told KNIA/KRLS Sports mistakes kept his team from being more competitive. Pella moves to 5-0 and extends their winning streak to 19, and next takes on Carlisle for Homecoming. Knoxville falls to 3-2, and travels to Saydel to begin back-to-back road games.
