Six area schools ran at the Knoxville Cross Country Invitational last night at Pine Knolls Country Club. Ankeny Centennial swept the boys and girl’s titles, however Pella High finished runner up in both events. The Little Dutch were led Adam Sievers, who crossed the line in second place in a time of 16:22. Knoxville was eighth led by Chase Larson in 27th place in a time of 18:07 while Pleasantville was ninth led by Alex Young in 33rd with a time of 18:26. Pella Christian was tenth led over the line by Grant Dunsbergen in 28th with a time of 18:10, while P-C-M was 11th led by Chris Ellens in 13th place in a time of 17:30. Twin Cedars was 16th with Colton Spaur leading the way in 80th place in a time of 20:31. On the girls side, Pella was led by Annika Pingel in sixth place in a time of 20:27. Knoxville placed sixth led by Mickayla McGill’s 27th place finish in a time of 22:10. P-C-M was seventh led by Jayci Vos in 25th place in a time of 22:03, and Pleasantville was 11th lead by Mel Johnson in 52nd place with a time of 24:12.
