Pella School Board 2015-16

The Pella School Board is beginning the budget reduction process.

They reviewed budget packages and a timeline at their meeting Monday. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the district faces significant financial shortfalls in their general fund due to declining enrollment and small state aid increases. He says 18 staff members have agreed to a one-year early retirement policy, which will help significantly reduce costs, but they are still in the process in determining what positions will be replaced.

He says they will be working on adjustments and meeting with staff until a public hearing on November 23rd. We have more about the latest at Pella Community Schools on Let’s Talk Pella.
