The Pleasantville Trojans football team is attempting to start their season 4-0 today when they face off with the Wolverines of Nodaway Valley tonight.

The Trojans moved up in the rankings in class A to number nine after destroying Martensdale-St Mary’s 61-0 a week ago, a game where the Trojans defense was so stingy it didnt allow the Blue Devils to cross midfield. Through three games, Pleasantville has only allowed seven points to be scored upon them, and will look to do the same against a Nodaway Valley team struggling to put points on the scoreboard.

Nodaway enters the game with a 1-2 record and are coming off a thrashing by Earlham in week three 56-8. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker said the defense needs to continue to tackle well against a run oriented team such as Nodaway. The game tonight will be streamed live on KNIAKRLS.com via the KNIA3 stream, the Iowa State Savings Bank Radio Pregame show will start at 6:30 and kickoff is scheduled for 7 with Andrew Swadner and Ron Danks.
