The Pleasantville Trojan Football team will look to start their season off with three straight wins when they face off with rival Martensdale-St. Mary’s tonight. The Trojans looked impressive in their opening win at Colfax-Mingo, but looked absolutely dominant last week against Eddville-Blakesburg-Fremont 36-0. The offensive line has been a massive boon to the Trojans in 2015, helping the running game score five touchdowns with four different playersm while the defense has been equally impressive giving up only six points on the season so far. The Blue Devils of Martensdale-St. Mary’s have not fared so well in 2015, losing both of their games to Woodward-Granger and I-35 respectively. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker said despite Martensdale-St. Mary’s slow start, anything can happen in a district and a rivalry game. Tonights game can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com and our free mobile app via the KNIA3 stream, with the pregame show starting at 6:30 and kickoff scheduled for 7:00pm.
