The Simpson football team looked to bounce back after a loss last week, but three turnovers hindered their play on Saturday, as they fell to Elmhurst at home yesterday, 31-12. Elmhurst scored 17 points off of three Storm turnovers en route to the victory. Simpson quarterback Caleb Frye threw for 126 yards and touchdowns and Davey Jergens rushed for 67 yards on 15 carries. Head coach Jim Glogowski says, “We have a football team that has a small margin for error, we can’t beat ourselves,” despite the turnovers during the game. The Storm return to action at home on Saturday in an Iowa Conference matchup against Buena Vista with kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
