Before a busy weekend with the Central football team and others opening up their seasons, a total of four groups will be competing today for the Dutch. The men’s and women’s soccer teams are both at home to take on Alma from Michigan this afternoon. Central’s women opened up the season with a 2 – 1 win over future conference foe, Nebraska Wesleyan, on Tuesday, while the men came up on the wrong end of a 3 – 1 decision against the same opponent. Dutch volleyball got off on the right foot with a three-set win over Monmouth three days ago, and they’ll play the first pair of matches of a two-day tournament in Wisconsin today against Finlandia and Silver Lake. The Dutch women’s golf team also starts their fall season with the first day of competition in The Sail Classic.
