The key play that put Knoxville in position to beat Newton on Friday night was a hook and lateral play that gave the Panthers a first and goal from the Cardinals ten with 12 seconds left. Knoxville actually had a different play called, but when time out was signaled Coach Eric Kellar told KNIA/KRLS he decided to run a play that was put in that afternoon and had yet to be worked on. Kellar told KNIA/KRLS Sports why it was so successful, every player did their job. A couple plays later the Panthers Caleb Light kicked the game winner to win 26-23. Knoxville travels to Centerville this Friday.
