The Pleasantville Trojan Football Team ran the Rockets of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont off the field last night, winning 36-0 in a dominating performance in all facets of the game.

The Pleasantville running game was on point yet again in the 2015 season, with three different players managing to find the end zone, including an 82 yard touchdown scramble from Hunter Tyree. The defense continued to be a much improved unit in 2015, holding Rockets star running back Treg Van Dorin to 121 yards, and has only allowed seven points to be scored in two games. Pleasantville Head Football Coach Gabe Bakker said from the beginning of practice on Monday the game plan was to be as physical as possible to match the intensity of the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont team. The Trojans will now move on to district play with a 2-0 record for the first time in Bakker’s tenure, and will match up with rival Martensdale-St Mary’s next friday in a game that can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com and the free mobile app via the KNIA3 stream.
