Daylight saving time ends Sunday at 2 a.m. Clocks should be set back by bedtime on tonight.
Daylight Saving Time was extended in 2007. Originally, it lasted from the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, but was changed to the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. The extra weeks were added as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Area fire officials also encourage citizens to use this time to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they’re working properly.
