They stayed healthy following their 49 – 28 win over Davenport Assumption last Friday in the quarterfinals, but tonight may be a different story for the Pella High football team, when they clash with West Delaware in the UNI-Dome for the Class 3A state semifinals. The Hawks are a physical team, with big offensive linemen much like the ones the Little Dutch have encountered in their last two playoff games. Going out and again playing Pella Football is on the agenda for Coach Jay McKinstrey and his undefeated battalion, and stresses his guys will need to also withstand the physicality of their opponents. It’ll be a battle of two undefeated teams for the final game of the first day of semifinal action. Our coverage tonight will start with a live edition of the Jeromy Dingeman Concrete Football Friday Night Radio Preview Show on KNIA and KRLS from outside of the UNI-Dome with the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio at 6:00 p.m. and run up to 7:52. That’s when Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema will take over for the Midtown Tire Team Radio Pregame Show on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, and via our free mobile app to count you down to kick-off at 8:22. The winner will take on either Norwalk or Sergeant Bluff – Luton in the finals next Thursday.
