Late season rain has water levels rising to highs Lake Red Rock hasn’t seen before in the month of December.

Assistant Operations Manager Josh Conrad with the Army Corps of Engineers tells KNIA/KRLS News waters are forecast to crest at 750 feet by the end of the week, which is among the highest numbers ever recorded in the month. He says the unusual amount of rain and snow runoff has contributed to the rise.

Conrad expects minimal impacts, but adds some county roads will close and there will be some remote roads blocked off that impact deer hunters for the upcoming shotgun season.

The following county roads are closed due to flooding:
Kennedy St From House #1606 to House #1693
Beardsley St. From 35th Pl. to 40th Ave
