Clayberg Best High School Football Player in Iowa

Gatorade and USA Today High School Sports announced that Pella High quarterback, Noah Clayberg, as the 2015-16 Iowa Football Player of the Year. Clayberg is the first athlete chosen from Pella High for the illustrious award. Noah ran for 205 yards, passed for 121 more, and scored three touchdowns in their 31 – 17 state championship win over Norwalk about two weeks ago. The honor recognizes outstanding athletic excellence, high standards of academic achievement, and exemplary character on and off the field, as well as distinguishing Clayberg as the best high school football player in Iowa. He joins an elite group of professional athletes who received the award, including Wes Welker, Terrell Suggs, and Jerome Bettis.
