It’s not often you go out in two consecutive games against two tradition-rich programs such as Dallas Center – Grimes and Grinnell and build up such a big lead that the running clock has to come into play. That’s what the Pella High boys’ basketball team has been able to accomplish in their previous two tests against the Mustangs and Tigers. The Dutch have been more consistent through a good handful of games in 2016, and the team, starters and bench players included, exude confidence each time they step onto the hardwood. That makes for “less headaches” in practice, and a more well-rounded effort, says Coach Mark Core. Pella High heads across town to play Pella Christian this Friday night in a girl-boy doubleheader that can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
