For the first time in ten seasons, Oskaloosa’s boys’ basketball team toppled Pella Christian on Tuesday night. It was the first conference win of the year for the Indians, and yet another disappointing setback in a season where the Eagles have been trying to keep their heads above water in a parity-rich Little Hawkeye Conference schedule. Pairings for the postseason will be out soon, and Coach Larry Hessing said after the game on Tuesday that the loss to Oskaloosa doesn’t change who they are, nor does it change their visions for playing basketball in early March. Hessing adds there is still a lot of work to do for late-game situations, and says they will be working on increased play and production from their athletes in the post.
