Knoxville pulled the sweep over Clarke last night as the girls won 52-41. The Panthers started off slow but gained momentum throughout the game to keep the Indians at bay. Carrie Chambers led the Panthers with 14 points. Knoxville improves to 8-3 on the season and 7-1 in the South Central Conference. Knoxville travels to Carlisle this afternoon. The boys, after a slow start themselves blew the doors off of Clarke 68-41. The Panthers used a 26-11 third quarter to break wide open a 14 point halftime lead. Blake McClung had a career high 18 points while Trent Davis contributed ten. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports McClung is starting to score, and that is a great thing for his team. Knoxville improves to 7-3 on the season and 6-1 in the conference with a trip to Oskaloosa on Tuesday.
