The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad got a lot more than they bargained for against Davis County last night as the Panthers had to use overtime to beat the Mustangs 61-56. The Panthers had a ten point lead with just under three minutes left to play when Davis County went on a 10-0 run to tie the game at the end of regulation. Emily Wallace scored 18 points while Shaye Nichols scored 15 as Knoxville improves to ten-and-four on the season and eight-and-one in the South Central Conference. The boys slowly pulled away during the game and won by 14 points 67-53 over Davis County. Chase Larson got out of his mini scoring slump to post 23 points on the night. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS good shooting led to a lot of other good things. The Panthers go to 8-4 on the season and 7-1 in the conference.
