Despite being a cornerstone of the squad so far this season, the last two contests for the PCM Mustang boys basketball squad has tested the team defensively.

In their first nine games of the season, the Mustangs held opponents under 54 points 7 times, the only games they gave up more than they found themselves on the losing end to North Polk and Pella Christian. On their current two game losing streak, the Mustangs gave up 57 in a loss to conference leader Gilbert and gave up way too many easy points to Greene County giving up a whopping 76. PCM Head Coach Fred Lorenson said that defense is a staple and must continue to improve. The Mustangs will look to get back on track on Friday at home vs South Hamilton in a game that can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com
