Both PCM Mustang Basketball Squads picked up big wins against the South Hamilton Hawks last night, the girls won 46-36 and the boys used a 24 point fourth quarter to win 67-49.

Spotty shooting limited the PCM offense, but their vaunted defense held strong en route to a 20-19 halftime lead. The offense clicked in half number two, with Kayla Jennings scoring 9 second half points, and the Mustangs would shut down the Hawks defensively. One point of concern for the Mustangs moving forward however, their last three games they have struggled from the charity stripe including a dismal 8 for 26 last night. The Boys squad finally found some scoring outside of Logan Gilman and Luke Greiner in their win, Noah Clark and Andrew Van Ryswyk each put down 11 points for both of their season highs. A 24 point fourth quarter out of the Mustangs turned a five point lead into an 18 point win, and ended the Mustangs two game skid. Head Coach Fred Lorenson told KNIA/KRLS Sports that he was happy that the depth of his team showed tonight. The girls improve to 8-5, the boys to 8-4, and both squads will have little rest as they will host the Little Dutch later today.
