The PCM Mustang Boys Basketball squad would win big over the Comets of North Polk last night 59-41, jumping out to a 9-0 run to start and never relinquishing the lead throughout the contest.

In the previous matchup, the Mustangs would lose a 20 point lead and fall on buzzer beater three pointer, and Head Coach Fred Lorensen said that in the rematch he wanted to keep his teams foot on the gas pedal. Logan Gilman would once again lead the team with 26 points, and the Mustangs will improve to 12-4. The girls, also looking to avenge an early season loss would fall in overtime to the Comets 52-46. The Lady Mustangs were in control of the game for the majority of the contest, but several missed chances at the charity stripe allowed the Comets to hit a three at the buzzer to force overtime. Kayla Jennings would lead the Mustangs with 12 points, and the girls fall to 10-8 on the season. Both squads will next play at home vs Saydel on Tuesday.
