Coming off of another pair of difficult road losses, the Pella Christian Eagles basketball teams will need to beat a pair of improving Oskaloosa teams if they want to get back to their winning ways.

All five games the 9-5 boys have dropped have come against Little Hawkeye Conference schools, and in four they’ve held a lead. They were able to beat the Indians 76-63 on December 11th. But Osky’s boys come into the Eagles’ gym winners of two of their last three, and Head Coach Larry Hessing says they don’t plan to take this game for granted.

The 5-11 Pella Christian girls are hopeful the Oskaloosa girls are the answer to a five game losing streak. They played perhaps their most complete game all season in Osky with their 55-37 victory. Coach Kevin Van Maanen says his girls have to be ready to handle an Oskaloosa team that’s a lot better than the one they played in December.

Tonight’s doubleheader in the Eagles’ gym starts at 6:15, with pregame at 6 on KRLS2 at KNIAKRLS.com with Andrew Schneider and Wynne Veenstra.
