Already having racked up wins over Colfax-Mingo, Ogden, and North Polk on Tuesday, the Pella High wrestling team is back on the mats in Grimes to grapple with Nevada and D-C-G this evening. The Little Dutch grabbed three victories in three different dual meets, despite still missing some wrestlers because of injuries. Coach Joe Burch says the younger guys have the right mindset and hopes they can build off of their struggles for future performances. Keegan Poole came on strong on Saturday for the Dutch, winning the heavyweight pool and bracket in a perfect day at the Centerville Invitational tournament, including a win over Predicament’s No. 2-ranked wrestler in Class 2A, Brock Caviness. Pella, though, will have to contend with three ranked wrestlers for the Mustangs; sophomores Max Tracy at 113 pounds and Zane Mulder at 132, and senior Logan Buck at 195. Wrestling at Dallas Center – Grimes High will begin tonight at 5:30 p.m.
