The Pleasantville Girls Basketball squad played their hearts out against the Timberwolves of Southwest Valley last night, and would hold a lead for 27 of 32 minutes but would ultimately fall 52-48.

With a 14-4 lead after quarter number one held strong around double digits until around 5 minutes left in the game, the Timberwolves would go on a run and outscore the Trojans the rest of the way. Missed free throws doomed the Trojan girls, going only 2-8 down the stretch. Kelsee Van Haalen lead the team with 17 points, and Bailey Oliva had a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Head Coach Aaron Fichter said he was proud of the way his team played, they just need to learn how to win games. The Boys won easily 69-45, and improve their record to 8-3. Both Pleasantville squads do not have a lot of time to mull over their loss or celebrate the victory, they will hit the court against this Monday at Albia.
