Assistant Marion County Attorney Benjamin Hayek has resigned from his position, effective February 18.

He’ll be leaving for a position with the United States Department of the Army in the Iowa Army National Guard Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. In his letter of resignation to Marion County Attorney Ed Bull, Hayek says the decision wasn’t an easy one to make, and that he never worked as hard at, cared about, or enjoyed a job as much in his life. He thanks Bull for the opportunity to work for the office and serve the people of Marion County.
