Unusually playing indoors rather than out, the Central softball team began the 2016 season with a twinbill against No. 23-ranked Bethel and came away in Splitsville in Rochester, Minnesota on Saturday. The No. 21-Dutch saw a lot of offense on both sides; winning 7 – 4 before dropping the nightcap, 6 – 2. Coach George Wares saw many good things from his team that lost a program-record ten seniors a year ago. Florida will be the next destination for Central down in Kissimmee for their spring break trip starting on Saturday, March 5.
