The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad came out firing on all cylinders in its game with Chariton last night. Problem was, the Chargers were also playing well and had a big second half to defeat the Panthers 66-to-54. Knoxville led at the half 29-24, but Chariton immediately went on an 8-3 run to take the lead to start the third quarter. Knoxville would play even the rest of the quarter to trail by three going into the fourth, but again Chariton lengthened the lead until Knoxville was forced to foul and put the Chargers at the line. Panthers Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports the end of the first half when Chariton closed the gap to five was a key point in the game. Ben Wallace scored 14 points to lead Knoxville. The Panthers end the season at 12-11.
