With state qualifying coming up soon, both Pella High and Pella Christian’s bowling teams earned all-conference honors for their play this season. On the boys’ side, Dakota Shalin and Cameron Miller from Pella High were unanimous selections. Shalin is averaging 185.6 per game, with a season-high mark of 256. Miller has put up over 182 per ten frames, and is averaging a 364 series this year. Jaden Ruth and Alex Bragg were both chosen to the second team; Ruth has a 180 average and Bragg is at 178. Max Kolb for Pella Christian was picked to the second team as well. The junior is averaging 144 per game this season through just 12 games, with a 199 being his high game thus far. Noah Gritters is an honorable mention.

Two Eagles’ girls can be found on the second team all-Little Hawkeye Conference list. Julyn Holmes and Abbie Vander Molen average 130 and 123 per game, respectively. Pella’s Taylor Divelbiss was also on the second team on the girls’ side. Kirsten Veenstra of Pella and Anna Burg of PC both received honorable mentions. The conference meet is next for both schools this Saturday in West Des Moines.
