A senior-laden squad was too much for the Central wrestling to overcome in Decorah last night. The No. 23-ranked Dutch fell to No. 12 Luther, 33 – 7. Central started off on the right foot; AJ Pestano at 125 moved to 9 – 0 this season with a 12 – 4 major decision over Connor Murphy. Luther then won five straight, capped by a 3 – 2 win by Blake Letney over No. 5 Ryan Vandall for Central. Zach Moss at 174 had the only other win on the night for the men clad in red. Central drops to 8 – 3 overall and they are 3 – 3 in the Iowa Conference. They will wrestle at the Jim Fox Invitational on Saturday in Dubuque.
