Falling to a pair of teams in the upper half of the Little Hawkeye Conference to conclude their first 21-games, the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team still feels confident entering the playoffs tonight against North Mahaska. As young as the Eagles are, they have held tough in a mostly 4A conference, pushing some bigger schools until the very end. PC enters tonight with a 7 – 14 record, while their opponents have just three wins, and have only scored above 40 points once this season. The Warhawks average just 21 points per game, and have committed roughly 25 turnovers each time out. Coach Kevin Van Maanen says for them to be successful tonight, his Eagles just need to stay calm and play their game. Cory Houser will be pulling Joe Buck-type duties tonight on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, and via our free mobile app. He has the call with Wynne Veenstra immediately following the Central College doubleheader, with pre-game scheduled for 6:40 p.m. and tip-off of the playoff contest at 7:00 p.m.
