John Followill

John Duane Followill Jr., of Knoxville was sentenced to five years and 180 days in prison in Marion County Associate District Court Tuesday.

He was sentenced to 5 years after having his probation revoked from a charge from 2014, for Possession of Hydromorphone with intent to deliver, and 180 days for Failure to Appear in Court. The sentences will be served consecutively. Followill’s probation violation occurred when he walked away from a rehabilitation facility.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says Followill was given repeated opportunities to show he could be a productive member of society, but he refused. Bull adds “I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs while in prison, so that when our parole board lets him out, he will not victimize anyone else.”
