The Knoxville Basketball Squads were swept by Grinnell last night. The girls simply put, never got going in a 76-20 loss to the Tigers. Ricki Hall led the Panthers with eight points. The boys game was teetering on a blowout when Grinnell got up by 20 points late in the third quarter but Knoxville put up 36 fourth quarter points and got it down to three but would not get any closer in a wild 83-78 final. Assistant Coach Greg Higginbotham told KNIA/KRLS Sports he was proud of the never give up Panthers, but they just cannot get in a hole. Justin Little scored 16 points to lead Knoxville who drops to 11-9 on the season and will finish regular season play at Carlisle on Monday while the girls fall to 13-8 and will host Norwalk on Wednesday in the first round of the class 4A regional.
