The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad was hotter than the core of the sun last night against Albia as the Panthers shot 56% overall and 66% from three point range to run the Blue Demons out of town in a 79-60 victory. Knoxville racked up 47 first half points and enjoyed an 18 point lead at the break and pushed the lead to as high as 27 in the second half. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports the Panthers got the inside game going then, when Albia went to a zone, the three point shots opened up. Trent Davis led a balanced attack with 15 points, Blake McClung added 13 and Ben Wallace chipped in 11. The Panthers improve to 10-6 on the season and finish South Central Conference play with a 9-3 record and in second place.
