The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday evening.

The Board of Education proposed a total package increase of 2.02% for wages and benefits the 2016-2017 school year. This offer includes maintaining current insurance coverage and benefits which includes a 7.5% cost increase, and adding $200 to the base salary. This proposal is in response to an request by the Knoxville Education Association of a total package benefit increase of 6.5%. They also adopted a school calendar for next year with a September 1 start date and a June 2 end date, among other items.
