The Knoxville Basketball Squads fell to Dallas Center-Grimes last night on senior night. The girls lost to the Fillies 66-29. Knoxville was unable to get much going on offense and had trouble stopping D-C-G on drives to the basket. Coach Jim Utiermarkt told KNIA/KRLS Sports the slow start was what doomed his team. Emily Wallace scored 15 points to lead all scorers, Knoxville falls to 13-7 on the season. The boys also dug themselves an early hole in the first half and found itself down by as much as 20 points when the Panthers started chipping away at the lead and got to within five with three minutes left in the game, but could not get any closer in a 61-48 loss. Trent Davis and Nick Moats shared high score honors with ten. Knoxville falls to 11-8 on the season. Both team will travel to Grinnell on Friday.
