Thanks to a good chunk of open weights by Oskaloosa and some key wins by the Little Dutch, Pella High emerged victorious in their dual meet with the Indians yesterday, 42 – 29. Ethan Speltz won at 132 via pin fall, James Van Gorp also had a pin at the 160 weight class. Oskaloosa had to forfeit six matches, which resulted in 30 total points for the Little Dutch. Full results can be found below. Pella is off until next Saturday for the district tournament at Johnston High School. However, since they had their home meet cancelled, to celebrate the seniors, the Little Dutch will have a Wrestling Appreciation Night next Thursday, February 11, from 6:00 – 6:45 inside the East Gym. All are welcome to attend.
