In a much different venue than they both were used to, Pella Christian and Norwalk split their conference doubleheader on the elementary school hardwood on Monday night.

Moved up a day due to the impending snow storm, the host Warrior girls and the Eagles combined for just 11 first-quarter points, with Norwalk leading 8 – 3. Defense would help PC grab a third quarter lead before winding up on top, 45 – 36. Norwalk could only muster five points in that third period. Brooke Mitrisin scored 17 points, and Morgan Fopma had eight rebounds. On the boys’ side, the Warriors shot 75% from the field, and completely aggravated the Eagle offense in a 61 – 38 final. Graham Howerzyl and Alex Pringle both scored 11 points, while Levi Jungling was cold from the field, scoring just seven. The Eagles’ girls are now 7 – 11 this year, while the boys drop to 8 – 8. Both teams return home this Friday to host Knoxville.
