Voting results of been canvassed from the February 2nd bond referendum in the Prairie City-Monroe School District The voters approved the $10 million bond measure with a 69% yes vote.
Superintendent Brad Jermeland tells KNIA/KRLS News the approval affirms the community’s support for public education, and the funds will help with renovations at all of their facilities. Jermeland says the bonds are a match on $10 million sales tax funds and cash on hand that will be spent for a total of $20 million in renovations.
The PCM school board has been working with project architects for improvements at PCM’s elementary and middle school.
