The P-C-M Boys Basketball Squad knew Madrid would be tough to guard inside, as the Mustangs were holding their own on the inside the Tigers started hitting from the outside and it was too much to overcome as P-C-M fell 69-60 in Class 2A District play. The Mustangs held a 22-21 lead at the half but Madrid lit up 48 second half points. Coach Fred Lorensen told KNIA/KRLS Sports Madrid’s outside shooting was the difference. The Mustangs did close the lead to five late as Logan Gilman hit a three with just over a minute left but the Tigers made just enough free throws down the stretch. Gilman dumped in 31 points, 27 in the second half to lead all scorers. P-C-M ends the season at 13-9.
