With results pouring in from around the state in the class 2A regional, the PCM Mustangs eagerly awaited the result between the contest in a first round matchup between Madrid and Woodward-Granger.

The result was not unexpected as Madrid would continue their season long dominance over Woodward-Granger 77-45. The Mustangs will have a tough challenge ahead of them, as the Tigers have several scorers averaging double figures, and while the two do not share common opponents the Mustangs will have an excellent chance to test their mettle against a tough opponent that has taken district favorite Des Moines Christian and played them tough twice this season. PCM Head Coach Fred Lorenson said that the size of the Madrid team will present a unique challenge for his team. Thursday’s game between the Mustangs and Tigers is scheduled for a 6:30pm tipoff at Des Moines Christian High School.
